Not only is the Jaspe Scarf wonderfully soft and lightweight, but it's also a one-of-a-kind masterpiece! Unique motifs are created by tying off sections that are to remain white and inserting the cotton fibers into dye baths composed of locally sourced materials, such as fruits, vegetables, and tree bark. The fibers are then woven together by hand using traditional backstrap techniques.
Each shawl is handmade from start to finish by a Mayan natural dye and weaving cooperative in San Juan La Laguna, Guatemala.
